History of the V6 Ranch

The Varian Ranch Room honors the cattle that have been central to the V6 Ranch since its founding. Jack and Zera “Zee” Varian purchased the ranch in 1961, naming it the V6 to represent their family of six. The ranch has grown into a 20,000-acre operation, running 700–1,500 cattle annually. The Varian family is deeply committed to land conservation, with the entire ranch protected by a conservation easement through the California Rangeland Trust. This room reflects the ranch's rich history and enduring legacy in California's cattle ranching community.
