The Diablo Mountain Range
The Diablo Range stretches roughly 200 miles along California’s Central Coast, forming the eastern spine of the region and hosting a remarkable diversity of wildlife and habitats. Oak woodlands, chaparral, and riparian areas provide homes for tule elk, golden eagles, mountain lions, and even occasional California condors, while rare and endemic plants add to the ecological richness. This range has long shaped the landscapes and life of the Parkfield area, inspiring the murals, handcrafted details, and natural motifs celebrated throughout the Diablo Range Room.
