A Piece of Town History, Reimagined for rest
Two bedrooms | 1 king & two twin beds | Living room | Fireplace | Stone walk-in shower | Private front porch

Once the Parkfield Post Office, this historic building now welcomes guests as a one-of-a-kind lodge room. Moved into town by horse team in the early 1900s, this historic building has been lovingly restored with reclaimed materials, stonework, and handcrafted details. Today it blends Parkfield’s past with modern comfort, offering a stay that’s as authentic as it is inviting.

Why it’s special
Historic Building: Originally hauled into place by 14 horses around 1905, this was once Parkfield’s actual post office.
A story in Every Corner: Features a headboard from the Rambo homestead, salvaged lumber from historic buildings, and antiques collected over decades.
Stone & Wood Details: Includes a handcrafted stone walk-in shower, rich woodwork, and a fireplace built from Cholame Valley stone.
Living Heritage: Original postboxes from an early Parkfield post office bring the town’s history back to life.

The Story of Parkfield’s Post office
Parkfield Post Office, 1920
Parkfield Post Office today
In 1905, Frank Kester and a team of horses moved this building to Main Street, where Jack Greenlaw became the postmaster living inside for decades. Once one of two post offices serving a town of nearly 900 residents, it remained in service until 1954. Today, the building preserves its original presence, now welcoming guests to step into a piece of Parkfield’s living history.
