This Arabian Horse Association sponsored ride will be held on the majestic grounds of the V6 Ranch in Parkfield, California. All Breeds Welcome!
The V6 Ranch is nestled in the Cholame Valley, on 20,000 acres in the middle of the picturesque Diablo Mountain Range, half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
This ride on the renowned Varian family Ranch offers riders a true western working ranch experience, at the rider's pace, within the beauty of Central California mountains. Music and dancing will highlight the event, for a full and fun experience. Guests will have trail time as well as the opportunity to drive cattle, all while camping outside with their horses and friends. This all adds up to an experience reminiscent of a time long ago, but never to be forgotten.
50% deposit or full payment due with registration form. Remaining balance due by June 30th. Limited to 120 participants/horses on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Accommodations: All riders will need to bring their own sleeping accommodations: RV/Camper, tent, or other, as we will be camping at the spacious V6 campground area, which was newly created just for the ride. There are 30 RV spaces provided with water hook-ups available on a first come, first serve basis. RV patrons may also use generators. Electricity is available at the common area of the camp for all riders' use. The campground features brand new shower and bathroom facilities with running water.
Horse Facilities: Horses can be trailer tied, high line tied, or kept in portable corrals brought by riders. Hay and bedding will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own.
Fee Includes: Camping facilities, all meals, clinics, activities, and grounds fee. V6 Ranch will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Some lunches will be served on the ride.
Weather: April is generally mild, with warm days and cool nights. However, weather conditions can be unpredictable, so be sure to prepare for all types of conditions. We suggest you bring a warm jacket, gloves and a fleece pullover so you are prepared for any sudden weather change. You may want to bring a light blanket for your horse as well.
