The V6 Ranch
Located an equal distance between Los Angeles and San Francisco, just a four hour drive from either city, the V6 Ranch offers the delight of bygone days in a world where fast is the average speed. This beautiful ranch offers activities to tickle the fancy of any person that seeks peace and quiet or just wants to get away from the street lights and asphalt. The V6 Ranch is a frontier once populated by a few homesteaders, but now occupied by an abundance of wildlife, wildflowers, cattle, and horses. Nature's delights can be seen from every angle. The clean air and warm nights are ideal for laying out under the stars. The clean water from the streams allows you to be refreshed naturally.
The ranch offers hiking, photography, over 200 varieties of wildflowers, wildlife, and bird watching. Pine Canyon Lake is the largest on the ranch and is a wonderful place to fish, swim, sunbathe, or row our boat out to the double decker floating dock.
The ranch also offers trail rides, cattle drives, and horse camping. The V6 Ranch encourages people who own their own horses to take advantage of all this natural beauty while partaking in our horse camping. We offer over 50 scenic miles of trails to explore with maps and trail markers to show the way. A spacious campground with running water and bathroom facilities is there for your use. For those who need corrals for their horses, they are available at ranch headquarters.
The V6 Ranch is a real working cattle ranch where much of the time is devoted to working cattle. During our cattle drives we encourage you to saddle up and be a part of our ranch crew. The V6 cattle drives are offered several times a year, in the spring and in the fall. During these drives, you will experience life as cowboys and cowgirls have fCattle Driveor many generations. Our guests, along with our ranch crew, invite you for three days to help with the gathering and moving cattle to different areas of the ranch for seasonal feeding. Along with your adventure as a ranch hand on the V6, you will be enjoying ranch style food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while camping out under the stars.
